Outdoor Living and Pools
Pools, patios and rooms that open the house to the yard
Outdoor living work is a room addition that happens to have a view. It is framing, roofing, glazing, electrical and finish work, and it has to tie into a house that is already standing — which is why it belongs with a general contractor rather than a specialty crew.
Pools and outdoor living spaces
We take on the pool and everything around it as one project: the pool and spa, the deck that surrounds them, and the structures that make the space usable into the evening. One contractor is responsible for how it all fits together and ties back into the house.
- In-ground pools and spas, including raised spas and sun shelves.
- Paver, travertine and stone pool decks and coping.
- Stone retaining walls, waterfalls and water features.
- Covered pavilions with outdoor kitchens, fireplaces and TV walls.
- Fire bowls, fire pits and outdoor lighting.
Rooms, porches and decks
- Sunrooms and three- and four-season rooms.
- Screened porches, including screened rear porches with finished ceilings and lighting.
- Decks and room additions.
- Opening an existing exterior wall for a new door or window wall, with a beam designed by our structural engineer.
The project on our remodeling page is the clearest example: part of an exterior wall and two doors came out, a new beam went in, switches and exterior lights were relocated, and a custom four-panel door unit now opens the room onto the pool deck.
